2010 is the year of the World Cup, and to celebrate we’re giving you the chance to get in on the competitive action! There’s a whole load of events you can get involved in, here’s the calendar for the whole season:

 

 

Wednesday 9th June – Messy Games! A chance to get a bit wild and, well… messy. Make sure you come prepared with a change of clothes and a towel. Who knows what might happen? We’ll let you in on one secret now- there’s going to be a big water fight to finish.
Where: Belle Vue Youth Club, Rocke Street
When: 7-9pm
Cost: FREE!

Monday 21st June – International evening. 32 countries are coming together to join in the World Cup, and we’re giving you the chance to sample some of their cultures. Come and try interesting food, sample strange music and explore the globe!
Where: Barnabas Church Centre
When: 5 – 7pm
Cost: £1 each

21st – 25th June – Big Wii tour. Think you’ve got Wii skills? Then you should join our Wii tournament, which is happening all through this week in Rock Solid clubs. Is there a Rock Solid club in your school? Probably! Check the Rock Solid page to see where and when it happens. The tournament final is taking place on 30th June, check below for details.

Tuesday 29th June – Sports in the Quarry. Join us for football, ultimate frisbee and other games.
Where: The Quarry park – between the dingle and the playground, near the river.
When: 3.30 – 5pm (come when you can)
Cost: FREE!

Wednesday 30th June – Big Wii tour FINAL! The champions from each Rock Solid club will face each other in the ultimate showdown! This event is for everyone, so it doesn’t matter it you didn’t make the tour, you can still come and join in the games (which will also include FIFA on the XBox and a penalty shoot-out).
Where: Barnabas Church Centre
When: 4.30 – 6.30pm
Cost: FREE!

Saturday 3rd July – Bell Boat Race. Race down the River Severn with an aquatic team! There are limited places for this fantastic event, so get in touch soon! All equipment (life-jackets and boats) are provided, but you will get wet.
Where: Meet in Frankwell car park
When: 9.30 – 4.30
Cost: £4 each

Tuesday 6th July – Sports in Meole Brace. Join us for football, ultimate frisbee and other games.
Where: Sports field on Church Road
When: 3 – 5.30pm (come when you can)
Cost: FREE!

Tuesday 13th July – Sports in Sundorne. Join us for football, ultimate frisbee and other games.
Where: Grassy playing area off Meadow Farm Drive. Next to The Lantern.
When: 3 – 5.30pm (come when you can)
Cost: FREE!

Wednesday 21st July – Awards Ceremony. This is the final event, for everyone who joined in with some part of enrgize. There will be a number of awards for different things, and prizes as well!
Where: Belle Vue Youth Club
When: 7 – 9pm
Cost: FREE!

We really hope you can join in the fun. Please download the permission letter, and get a parent/guardian to sign it!
